SCE Customers

Southern California Edison serves Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Winchester, French Valley, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Fallbrook, and surrounding Riverside County communities.

Charge Ready Home Rebate

Up to $4,200

SCE offers rebates to eligible customers who upgrade their electrical panel to support a Level 2 EV charger installation.

  • Income-qualified: up to $4,200 (100% of cost)
  • Disadvantaged communities: up to $2,100
  • Must plan EV charger within 180 days
  • Single-family residences only
  • Current panel must be under 200A

Federal Tax Credit (25C)

Up to 30% Back

The Inflation Reduction Act covers up to 30% of EV charger equipment and installation costs for most homeowners.

  • Covers equipment and labor
  • Annual limit of $1,000 for EV chargers
  • Primary residence only

SDG&E Customers

SDG&E Panel & EV Charger Rebates

SDG&E does not currently offer a utility-specific rebate for residential panel upgrades or EV charger installation. SDG&E customers can still benefit from the federal 25C tax credit and state programs below.

Federal EV Charger Credit

Up to $4,000

Both SCE and SDG&E offer rebates for pre-owned EV purchases. $1,000 standard, up to $4,000 income-qualified. Apply within 180 days of purchase.
